Strainers

RG3 strainers protect turbine meter measuring elements from damage caused by debris or foreign material in a pipeline while straitening the flow and improving the velocity profile.

Application:

Strainers are designed for use in potable cold water up to 120°F with working pressures not to exceed 150 psi. Used in conjunction with Infinity turbine and compound meters will extend the life of the measuring element and as a result maximize revenue.

Maintenance:

The Z-strainer can be removed, cleaned or replaced without removing the main case from the service line. In order to remove the Z-strainer, the main case must be isolated from line pressure. After depressurizing,
simply loosen and remove the bolts, lift the top plate cover and gasket from the main case, and remove
the strainer. Proper maintenance should include a regular flushing program. Loosen the top cover bolts to allow
internal pressure to lift the full-face gasket and top plate for flushing, without isolating the strainer from line pressure. Simply tighten the top cover to reset the top plate.
