TeslaNet Licensed Private Network (LPN) uses the 450-470 MHz licensed frequency band to provide a private network specific to your utility, that allows you to read your meters from the office (AMI). Meter data can be collected through an AMI point-to-multi-point LPN using Tesla Base Stations, Repeaters, and Duo Collectors. The LPN offers significant range with a Base Station providing coverage up to 3.5 miles in any direction from a tower, which is particularly economical in populated areas. Of course, the LPN also has a drive-by AMR option that doesn’t require any endpoint programming, so you can choose your read strategy as it makes sense or just have a great drive-by backup.
